TG Spaces 1.0

An accessible convolution reverb and space-placement plugin. 190 spaces, none
of them recorded.

Drop it on a track, pick a space, and the source is in that space. The library
runs from a bedroom to a cathedral, from an open field to a drive-through
speaker. How big the room is, how far away you are standing and which way you
are facing change the room itself rather than crossfading between fixed
recordings.

WHAT THIS INSTALLER PUTS WHERE

The next pane offers two formats. Both are ticked to begin with. Untick either
one if you do not need it.

  Audio Unit, for Logic Pro
    goes to /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/TG Spaces.component

  VST3, for Reaper
    goes to /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/TG Spaces.vst3

Both are the folders Logic and Reaper already look in, so neither host needs
configuring afterwards. Installing to these folders needs an administrator
password, which macOS will ask for once.

Both plugins are universal binaries. They run natively on Apple silicon and on
Intel Macs, with no Rosetta translation on either.

AFTER INSTALLING

Logic Pro finds new Audio Units on its own the next time it starts. TG Spaces
appears under Audio Units, then TG Studios.

Reaper needs to be told to look again: Preferences, then Plug-ins, then VST,
then the Re-scan button. After that TG Spaces appears in the FX browser. All
190 spaces are also listed in the FX preset dropdown.

ACCESSIBILITY

There is no drawn interface, deliberately. The plugin ships the generic editor,
which exposes every control as a labelled widget that VoiceOver and OSARA read
directly. Every value is spoken in words rather than as a number: Distance
reads out in real metres for the room you are in, Decay reads the percentage
and the seconds the room actually rings for, and Listener angle reads as
"40 degrees left" or "facing the source".

There is also a Room info control, which reads you the dimensions of the space
you are in and how long it rings, without you having to play anything.
